Welcome to Gaia Yoga Nest
Thank you for stepping in, my name is Helen. I am a Cheshire based yoga teacher trained in Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin and Restorative yoga.
My passion is to embody a sanctuary of softness, soulfulness and seasonal attunement. My ethos is rooted in the belief that deep rest is not a luxury but a vital pathway to healing and wholeness.
Rest as a Ritual - I invite each practitioner to slow down, soften and surrender. My Yin and restorative classes are woven with intention , each pose a portal to stillness, each breath a balm for the nervous system.
Nature Inspired Nurturing - Like the rest I evoke my aim is to provide a space that is warm, grounded and seasonally sensitive. I draw from the rhythms of nature, honouring the cycles of the seasons with renewal and release. This extends to my equipment, all mats have been sourced with the environment in mind, all other equipment is made of organic Cotton. All essential oils and balms used are organic.
My signature class is a monthly Yoga by Candlelight but why?
Yoga by candlelight offers a sanctuary of calm in a world of constant stimulation. The soft glow of candles naturally signals the body to slow down, inviting the nervous system into rest and repair. Combined with Yin and Restorative postures, the ambiance deepens relaxation, enhances introspection, and creates a safe, nurturing space to release tension.
The gentle flicker of the lights fosters presence, intimacy, and emotional ease—helping practitioners move inward with greater trust and openness. It transforms practice into ritual: a pause from the day, a moment of renewal, and a reminder that stillness can be profoundly healing.
We gather in the beautiful setting of Nether Alderley Village Hall, Church Lane, Nether Alderley in the intimate upstairs room which is just perfect for our candlelit Yoga.
We meet monthly on the 1st Friday evening of each month.
